Today’s card is what I’m calling a fun “Fat Cat” Birthday Card! I love this fat cat stamp in the Best Day Stamp Set, it’s SOOO cute! The cat is highlighted here on a Dutch Door Fun Fold card.
You can see how to cut this card in the video below. Start with an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Put it in the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer in the landscape position and score with the scoring blade at 4-1/4.” Do not remove the card. The cutting blade should be at the bottom. Pull it up to cut up from the bottom of the score line 2-1/2.” Then turn the card one turn to the left and pull the cutting blade down 4-1/4″ to meet the other cut line. Now you have a Dutch Door Card!
Beginning on the inside of the card, cut a piece of Sweet Sorbet Country Gingham Designer Series Paper 4″ x 2-3/4″ and adhere it to the upper portion of the inside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Stamp the cat stamp in Sahara Sand ink on a 3″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Color with Sweet Sorbet, Black, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Adhere to a 3-1/4: x 2-3/4″ piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock. Adhere to the top center of the front flap (see video).
Cut a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock; cut a 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Sweet Sorbet Country Gingham Designer Series Paper and adhere it to the cardstock piece with Multipurpose Glue. Adhere this entire piece to the lower panel (over the base of the cat piece) using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped on a 1″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock. I used the largest rectangular Scalloped Contour Die to cut a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock; then I used just a small portion of the scalloped edging for the bottom border of the sentiment (see how to do this on the video).
