Sweet & Precious Giraffe Card!

This card truly is precious. Don’t you love the mother giraffe snuggling with the baby? It’s just too cute! This is the new Sweet & Precious Stamp Set.

The detail on this giraffe stamp is amazing. I know Stampin’ Up! makes great stamps, but this one is over and above. Here it is stamped with Pecan Pie ink and fussy cut so it fits in the rails of the fence.

The background “sky” is a piece of Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper. The rails of the fence are 1″ x 4″ strips of Pecan Pie cardstock that have been run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Then the strips were brushed with a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso ink. This gives a very realistic look.

The neck of the baby giraffe was tucked under one of the rails and then the neck of the mother is flush with the right edge of the designer series paper. To adhere the mother giraffe, a few dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue were placed under the neck.

A few boughs of leaves were punched from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using the Bough Punch. They were then glued together at the top with a few dots of Liquid Glue and adhered above the fence, also with small dots of Liquid Glue. A bow was tied with Linen Thread and adhered to the top of the leaves with a Mini Glue Dot.
