NEW VIDEO: Curved Occasions Birthday Cake Card!

It seems that so many people have birthdays in December. Well, many of my friends do 🙂 So I need to make some birthday cards for them. Because it’s holiday time I decided to make holiday-themed birthday cards!

The Curved Occasions Stamp Set is one of my favorites in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Why you might wonder? Mainly it’s because of the darling cake stamp, I just love it! I like the flower bouquet too. And there are lots of great sentiments in this set. This set is retiring soon and I wanted to use it a bit more before it’s gone (especially the cake!).

To give this card a holiday feel I’ve used the Joyous Specialty Designer Series Paper with Gold Foil and Cherry Cobbler. It’s beautiful! The cake is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and colored in with various Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. Then it’s cut out with the Deckled Circle Dies, and a piece of Gold Foil was cut with a larger Deckled Circle to go behind it.

For the sentiment here I’ve used the Wanted to Say Dies. I love word dies, and this set has some great ones!

To adhere the die-cut words, use Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Sheets. It makes the words into stickers and they easily stick on the card! (See the video for how to do this.)

The Holiday Mini Catalog is retiring on January 3, 2024. That means many of the beautiful products in this catalog will become unavailable, like the Curved Occasions set used today.
