Do you know someone who loves fish and fishing? I know someone who loves to fish, so when it came time for his birthday I knew this was the stamp set to use!!
To begin, I used a Lost Lagoon card base. Then a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock was embossed with the hobnail glass dots Basics 3D Embossing Folder. Doesn’t it look like bubbles in the water? 🙂
Above that I cut a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper to look like waves. It’s adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the embossed piece. On both sides of the gold are Soft Seafoam leaves cut with the Notes of Nature Dies. I think they look like seaweed! I brushed Lost Lagoon ink on the leaves with a Blending Brush.
Then I stamped and colored the fish with various Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to make them look realistic. The sentiment is from the Something Fancy Stamp Set. It’s a simple “happy birthday” sentiment that works perfectly on this card.
