Taco Fiesta Card and My Weekend Special for YOU!

Hi friends! Today’s card is a fun and yummy “taco” card. I say that because it’s made with the wonderful Taco Fiesta Stamp Set. I especially like this set because I live in San Diego, very close to Mexico, and we LOVE tacos and guacamole. And our area has lots of avocado trees. Yumm!

There are so many options with this stamp set (cactus, pinata, nachos…) but today I’ve focused on the avacados and guacamole 🙂 This card was created for this week’s Global Design Project Challenge. Here is the card we were to “case.”

The card base is Old Olive cardstock topped with a piece of Gorgeous Gingham Designer Series Paper in Lemon Lime Twist. Then a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon was placed across the center of the card and two panels of Mossy Meadow were adhered over the ribbon.

One strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped vertically with avocados and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers, and another strip was stamped with bowls of guacamole! Seriously YUMM! Are you getting hungry?

Then…it was all topped with red peppers! This feels like I’m writing a recipe 🙂 It was such a fun card to make. The peppers were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and colored in with Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. Then they were adhered in the center of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the sentiment was tucked under the peppers.

A few little Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds were added for fun! Are you hungry yet? 🙂
