Sweet Songbirds Birthday Card!

Today’s card features a retiring stamp set and punch…the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set and the coordinating Songbird Builder Punch. The Punch is 50% OFF – what? Yes, it’s true! There are quite a few items that will be 50% or 60% OFF starting April 9, and I’m going to start showing them to you!

This is such a darling set. The sentiments are great. There’s even a “welcome” sentiment which we don’t have that often. And I love the little music notes!

The little songbird was stamped with Azure Afternoon ink and punched with the coordinating punch. She’s set on a nest stamped in Pecan Pie ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips Scissors. They are both set on a circle of Basic White cardstock cut with the Everyday Details Dies, and the circle was stamped with some leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Behind the circle is some of the pretty Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper. When you see the word “specialty” in the title, you know that it’s special paper. Usually that means that it has a metallic element, and in this case gold foil is the metallic element in this paper.

A very thin frame of Azure Afternoon cardstock is behind the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Paper. The Specialty Paper is 3-3/4″ x 5″ and the Azure Afternoon cardstock is cut 1/8″ larger, at 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8.” Making this thin frame of a color really brings the card together 🙂
