Today’s card has a sneak peek of the new Online Exclusive Changing Leaves Bundle which will be available on July 3rd. For this card I’ve used the pretty embossing folder.
After the leaves were embossed on Basic White cardstock, I added some Lemon Lime Twist ink using a Blender Brush. This really highlights the pretty detail on the leaves! This created a lovely background for the rest of the card.
I made this card for this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge which is Winged Things. The winged things here are birds and bees from the Furriest Friends Bundle.
Truthfully, I think the birds are chicks, but I’ve made them into birds 🙂 The Furriest Friends Bundle is just too cute. There are lots of other fun critters in this set!
The little birds were colored with Watercolor Pencils. The Watercolor Pencils look great without water, but when you add just a bit of water, it blends the color together and makes it darker. I love the way the birds turned out 🙂
A few bees were stamped around the leaves and their bodies were colored in with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. Aren’t they cute?
The vertical sentiment is from the So Sincere Stamp Set. It fit perfectly on this card!
