Cardinals are the most popular holiday bird. They’re known for hope and joy during the winter, as their bright red color is such a contrast to wintery backgrounds. My card today has three little cardinals sitting on some leaves

The cardinals have been fussy cut from the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper. This paper has lots of holiday graphics and a quilted theme.

The background of the card was brushed with a Blending Brush and Peaceful Pine ink. Then leaves were cut from Basic White paper and Peaceful Pine Pearlized paper using the Help Me Grow Dies. They make a lovely base for the little cardinals!

The design for my card is from this week’s Global Design Project Challenge: We are casing (copying and sharing everything) the lovely Emma Goddard.

This is a nice holiday card that could be used for a birthday, a Christmas card, or just anything. I’ve purposely left off a sentiment so that I can do just that!
