Look at this darling little bunny! I just had to show it to you. It’s made using a Square Pillow Box! Yep, and it’s easy to make!
It’s actually what you might call a “punch art project,” as most of the decorations on the pillow box were punched out with punches. And punches make any project easy 🙂 The key to this project is the Stampin’ Up! Square Pillow Boxes. They are a snap to put together as they are pre-scored, and all the adhesive you need for the box itself is attached to the box itself. And, they are a great value, you get 10 boxes for only $8.
Here is a video tutorial showing exactly how to make the bunny, and how to make a gift box from a pillow box:
F
For the darling little ears, use the Double Oval Punch! Basic White cardstock was punched in the larger oval and Bubble Bath cardstock was punched in the smaller oval to make the inside of the ears. The two tiny circles near the nose were punched by a tiny 1/2″ Circle Punch that is now retired. They were each brushed with a Blender Brush and Bubble Bath ink for a bit of color, then some little black dots were added with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Whiskers were added with the marker directly onto the pillow box. The heart was punched from Bubble Bath cardstock using the Bee Builder Punch.
The eyes of the bunny are Opaque Ovals and are stuck directly onto the pillow box. The bow was tied from Pool Party Ribbon that was available only during Sale-a-Bration. On the video I used the Pretty Peacock & Gold Ribbon.
These little guys are so cute! They have lots of space for candies – or cash – or socks – or … lots of space!
