Sweet Little Pink Elephant!

Oh my goodness, I got to make a little baby girl card!! I always get so excited when I can make a baby card, and especially a GIRL baby card. Pink is my favorite color, so this really makes me happy!

My favorite stamp set for baby cards is the Little Elephant set and I love the coordinating Elephant Builder Punch. For this card I started with a Whisper White card base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4.” A 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Blushing Bride card stock was dry embossed with the Country Floral Embossing Folder. An 18″ piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon was tied around the embossed piece and finished off with a bow, about 2/3rds of the way down. Then the piece was adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Glue.

The larger elephant stamp was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock using Melon Mambo ink, and punched out with the Elephant Builder Punch. The white ear of the elephant was punched with the same punch from another scrap of Whisper White card stock.

The ear was adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. Using the Layering Circles Dies, two scalloped circles were cut, the larger one from Melon Mambo card stock and the smaller one from Whisper White card stock. They were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then the elephant was adhered onto the Whisper White scalloped circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The balloon stamp from the set was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Melon Mambo ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips. The balloons were adhered to the Whisper White scalloped circle with a bit of Multipurpose Glue. The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock with Melon Mambo ink and punched out using the 1″ Circle Punch. It was then tucked in between the two scalloped circles and adhered to the Melon Mambo circle with Multipurpose Glue. Some Melon Mambo rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added for some bling!!  🙂

I keep this stamp set handy for all my baby cards. It’s so adorable and gives lots of options for a variety of cards. If you don’t have a cute baby stamp set, this is the one for you! Pointer: for a baby boy, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight inks and card stock are a real winner!!
