So I have all my Christmas cards made and most of them mailed. I just have about 20 more to address and I’ve just got to do that tomorrow. Can you relate?:
After I’m done with my Christmas cards, as a card maker I usually turn to birthday cards for the new year. And I’ve got so many pretty new products from my preorder of the new 2020 Mini Catalog ~ I just had to dive in!! I pulled out the new Layered With Kindness stamp set. I’ve used it once before and loved the DistINKtive stamps (photo-realistic).
Do you see the gorgeous impressions these stamps give? The set has leaves and sweet flowers, and some small individual leaves and blossoms that you can use to “float” around on the card. A bit whimsical!
The thing that makes me love this set even more – well, the things, are the two coordinating punches that work with the sentiments in the set. I’ve shown them to you in the picture above. One is a larger and a bit squarish, and perfectly punches the happy birthday sentiment with the scroll work. This is the Label Me Lovely Punch. I’ve stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink on Purple Posy card stock and punched it out with this punch.
Then I stamped the same stamp again in Gorgeous Grape ink on Whisper White card stock. I used the second new punch, the Label Me Fancy Punch, to punch out just the words “Happy Birthday” from the stamped image. The punches coordinate perfectly with the stamp! The punched sentiment was then layered on top of the other punched image and adhered with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Super easy and cute!!
