Prized Peony Card Stampin' Up! Pretty Paper Cards

The new Prized Peony Bundle is amazing! Peonies don’t grow as well here in Southern California as in other areas of the country, so I’m not that familiar with them. I was looking online for pictures of peonies to see their different colors. I came across a photo of some beautiful purple peonies:

Aren’t they gorgeous? No one could recreate this beautiful work of the Creator God, but it gave me inspiration for my own peony card. I started with Shimmery White card stock and stamped the large peony stamp twice in Highland Heather ink, once in the lower left corner of the sheet, and the second time to the right of that one.

On the first one, I watercolored the flower in Gorgeous Grape and So Saffron ink, and the leaves in Old Olive ink using our new Water Painters. I watercolored the small peony bud in Soft Sea Foam ink to mimic the photograph. On the second stamped image I only watercolored the flower itself. This single flower was cut out with the coordinating die and trimmed off at the stem and leaves.

The single flower was then adhered over the other flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Gold Trim was tried in a knot around the center of the bow. To finish the card I added a few Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

This is an amazing bundle. Do you see the way the stamp looks by itself on the envelope above? It’s so so pretty! For me it is a classic 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
