Bookmarks are wonderful little “extra” gifts. They can be given with a new book as a gift, alone to a reader, or as a special little gift inside a card. That’s what I’m doing with this bookmark. I have a friend who lost a loved one, and I want to give her just a bit more than a card. I decided on this bookmark that I will enclose with the card, and I will write a note on the back.
Here is a video tutorial to show you just how to make this sweet bookmark:
For this project I used two stamp sets and three die sets. I just pulled lots of beautiful things together 🙂 The bookmark begins with a 2″ strip of Basic White cardstock punched at the top with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. This is a fabulous punch for bookmarks. I always have one tag topper punch handy and I pull it out whenever I need a bookmark or a tag!

The ribbons are so pretty! I love all the new ribbons and always look for ways to use more ribbon 🙂 Some pretty Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper was used as the background for the dies cuts. I stamped the dsp with the splatter stamp in the Color & Contour Stamp Set. This gives a bit more texture to the background.

The leaves on the tag were cut from Soft Succulent card stock using the Artistic Dies. The floral stemmed image was stamped with the Color & Contour Stamp Set and cut with the coordinating dies. Then the tiny “Love” tag was stamped and cut with the Quiet Meadow Bundle.

I just can’t tell you how much I love all of the sets used on this bookmark. Truthfully, I love all of the new products in this annual catalog!!
