Summer is almost here and it’s almost time for some summer celebrating! I had that in mind when I created this summery with two watermelon slices and some black and white gingham!
In order to make the watermelon slices I cut three layering circles from three colors of cardstock, glued them together and then cut them in half down the center. You end up with two watermelon slices!! Seeds were dotted on each slice by hand with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
Below is a replay of my Facebook Live where I show you exactly how to create this card and the fun watermelon slices!
The little flowers were punched out with the Strawberry Builder Punch, and some Matte Black Dots were used for flower centers. The dots tie in with the gingham and the watermelon seeds.
The sentiment is from the Create With Friends stamp set, and was die cut using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I just love how this card turned out. I think I’ll make one in a few weeks for the Fourth of July and I’ll use a red for the watermelon slices 🙂
