NEW VIDEO: Counting Sheep Birthday Card!

Today’s birthday card is made with both the stamp set and dies. I’ve created my sheep to mimic the Valais Blacknose Sheep. The post popped up one day on my Facebook feed (did I tell you I love sheep?) and I’ve been following them ever since. It’s a shelter for the blacknose sheep, located in Sweden, and they have the most adorable sheep! Here’s a picture from their Facebook page. Aren’t they so cute? When I colored my sheep I gave them all black faces, ears, and hooves using Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. Then I colored in the sheep with little circles drawn with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.

The “sky” here was colored with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and then I went back in with the Color Lifter to give a bit of shading. And did I mention that there is the tiniest stamp of grass?? 🙂 I stamped it in layers across the bottom to look like a field.

The Sheep Dies have lots of things that the stamp set doesn’t have, like the sun, the balloon, and the gate. These can be used for many other types of cards. I cut two suns from Basic White cardstock and colored them with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Then I adhered the first one with a Stampin’ Dimensional, and the second one on top of that with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The balloon was colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends and then I colored the string of the balloon with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and adhered it onto the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then cut out with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies.

So don’t you love these cute blacknose sheep?? I adore them and am already thinking of friends who have upcoming birthdays 🙂
