Today I have for you a St. Patrick’s Day Card that is also a fun fold! It’s called a double-easel fold and I like it because it stands up so nicely.
The video below shows you how to create the fold and how to create the shamrock. I did a little research and found out that (you might already know this) the shamrock, and not the four-leaf clover, is the proper flower for the Irish.
To make the card itself, cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White cardstock in half lengthwise so that you have two 4-1/4″ x 11″ pieces. Score one piece in the center at 5-1/2″ and score the other piece at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2.” Cut a woodgrain piece of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″ and two pieces of the yellow flowered paper at 2-1/2″ x 4.”
Use the heart die in the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder to cut four hearts from Shaded Spruce cardstock (3 for the shamrock and one for the inside). Run them through the Dots Embossing Folder (from the Dots & Checks Embossing Folders) to emboss the hearts. Add a stem cut with a stem die in the Tulips Dies.
The sentiment is from the Crane of Fortune stamp set and was cut using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
