In my effort to resist making fall and holiday cards until August 1st, I’m using the Hello Harvest Bundle to make a birthday card. And, this card uses two fun techniques!

It begins with a Basic White card base topped with a layer of Pale Papaya cardstock. Then there is a layer of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper that has been “washed” with a watercolor of Daffodil Delight ink. (See this technique in the video below.)
The Hello Harvest stamp set has a pretty floral stamp that can be used in different ways. Here this stamp was used with Pale Papaya ink and stamped on top of the watercolor wash. This creates a lovely background for the rest of the card.
Fun technique: color some Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with a Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend to create a color-coordinated ribbon for your card. See how it’s done in the video tutorial below:
The floral stamp was stamped again in Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored with Stampin’ Blends. There is a coordinating die, but I used my Paper Snips Scissors to get a close cut around the flowers and leaves.

The sentiment was stamped in Pale Papaya ink and cut with the coordinating die. Then the floral piece was tucked up around the left side of the sentiment. A bow was tied with the colored ribbon and adhered to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot. Then the sentiment and floral piece were adhered over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
