NEW VIDEO: Harvest Birthday Card!

Do you have friends with fall birthdays? It’s fun to create special seasonal birthday cards, and today I have for you a pretty fall card for those fall birthdays!

This card uses the Hello Harvest Bundle. It’s perfect for all kinds of fall cards. The leaf stamp is so pretty, I really wanted to highlight it. And I also used the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder to add even more leaves!

There are about 4 different techniques used on this card and I demonstrated them on the video below. See if you can spot all the techniques!

To highlight the embossed leaves, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Cajun Craze ink. This highlights the beautiful embossing!

When using Stampin’ Up! ink pads, you can create two different shades of the same color (minimum!). Ink the stamp and apply to the paper full strength – gorgeous. Then stamp again on the paper without re-inking the stamp. This creates a lighter shade of the same color! This is called “second generation” or “stamping off” and gives such depth to the image! I’ve done this with the leaves inside of the circle (stamped in Cajun Craze ink) and the leaves on the right side of the card (stamped in Old Olive ink).
