Today’s card is a watercolored floral birthday card. It’s for a December birthday. People do have birthdays in December 🙂 and I like to give them cards that aren’t really made for the holidays, but are made for a traditional birthday. But…I also like to add just a “touch” of the holidays.
On this card, my “touch” of the holidays is some little buds punched out of Sweet Sorbet cardstock with the Bough Punch. These buds look Christmas-y to me, what do you think? And Sweet Sorbet is a dark pink that is almost red, so there you go!
This card is made for this week’s Global Design Project Challenge. We are supposed to “case” the designer.
The flowers were heat embossed on Shimmery White cardstock and then watercolored with Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet inks. They are adhered onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and then splattered using a Sweet Sorbet Dark Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker.
The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on a strip of Basic Black cardstock and then adhered over the flowers with a few dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
