NEW VIDEO: Nested Friends Fun-Fold Card!

Recently I received a beautiful fun-fold card from a friend, and it was so nice that I had to try to make it myself! I made one as a sample, and then made another one with some different papers. Today you are seeing both of my cards: one is made with a Petal Pink card base and the other with a Balmy Blue card base.

The card itself is a 4-1/4″ square with a triangle cut off the front of the card. Then inside is a smaller card – so fun! These pictures show you how the card opens up.

The Nested Friends Bundle is adorable. This is the first time I’ve used it and it’s too cute! I just love the bird in this set, it’s a sweet bird. I’m not sure if it’s a boy or a girl bird 🙂 And the detailed nest is amazing. I’ve never seen a die-cut nest quite like it!

Here are the measurements for you:

Square card base: 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 4-1/4″
Basic White piece inside square card: 4″ x 4″
Small card inside square card: 7″ x 3″ scored at 3-1/2″
Country Floral Lane piece adhered to front of small card: 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″
Basic White piece inside small card: 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″

On the Petal Pink card I used a Basic White oval under the cute bird and nest. On the Balmy Blue card I left off the oval. Which one do you like best? I think I prefer the oval because it makes the bird and the nest stand out.
