Oh my goodness, the new Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper is AH – MAZ – ING!!! It’s one of the new Sale-a-Bration items, FREE with any $50 order.
You are probably wondering how I colored this foil paper? Well, truthfully, my friend and fellow demonstrator, Robin Daus, did it for me! Ha! She showed me how to do it and it’s easy! You put a piece of the Springtime Foil Paper, foil side up, flat on a paper towel or grid paper. Turn an ink pad upside down in your hand and hold the ink pad above the piece of foil. Starting at one end, lower the ink pad and drag it from one side of the paper across to the other, pressing down so that the ink is deposited on the paper. Do that a few times if needed. Then wipe the foil paper with a clean cloth or paper towel until it looks glossy. That’s it!
You can see from the photo above that it may turn out a bit darker in some areas and lighter in others, and that’s what gives even more texture! Don’t you love it? I’ve used my Berry Burst ink pad for this card. I just love the way it turned out, and all thanks to Robin!
For the sentiment I’ve used the Southern Serenade stamp set. The fonts and sentiments in this set are modern and fun and I really like to use them. I’ve also used a darling flower stamp from the same set.
You can get the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper FREE with a product order of $50 or more (total before shipping and tax) during Sale-A-Bation. To learn about the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion (and more FREE gift options) CLICK HERE.
The Sale-a-Bration Basket Weave Embossing Folder is going to be a classic. For one thing, it’s carrying over after Sale-a-Bration – that’s good. But the best part is that it adds beautiful texture to any project! For today’s card it forms a nice background for the rest of the card!
Today’s card is for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. This is a really fun Tic Tac Toe Board! I ended up using both diagonal lines (Aperature/Gold Silver/Texture and Floral/Gold Silver/Sequins) and the left column (Aperature/Vellume/Floral) and the right column (Sequins/Circle/Texture) on my card! These elements are really easy to use together!
The basket weave is especially appropriate for anything bird related. Doesn’t it make you think of a bird nest? I love the little bird in the Petal Palette Bundle, and here I’ve colored him with Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake Blends. I also gave him a deep blue eye with the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend 🙂
Under the bird is a combination of vellum punched leaves and floral dies cut with the Petals & More Thinlits Dies. White on white and vellum is such a beautiful combination. I love the softness of it. Under the circle “window” is some of the new Sale-a-Bration Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper ~ gorgeous!!
.This paper is WAY MORE beautiful than it looks in this photo. You will love it! So, how do you get some?? It’s easy ~ just place a $50 order through me HERE and choose this paper as your FREE Sale-a-Bration Gift! Use the item number above (147193) to get this paper. It makes such pretty cards!
Thank you for popping over to my little corner of the world! Have a wonderful day!
Yellow is a beautiful spring color and I think I’m on a yellow kick right now 🙂 It’s easy to watercolor a panel of Shimmery White paper with Daffodil Delight Ink and use it for a great background!
For today’s card I’m still playing with the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit. Truthfully,, I needed quite a few thank you cards and this was the quickest way I could think of to make them. I just bundled up several of the embellishments, tied it up with some Silver Baker’s Twine and attached a sentiment!
The sentiment used on this card is from the Petal Palette Stamp Set. It was stamped in Berry Burst Ink on a little sliver of Whisper White card stock and one end was snipped for a bit of interest. And that’t it! It was so easy I went ahead and made four of them!
What do you think about these quick thank you cards? I’d love to hear what you think! Please leave me a comment by clicking the little box below 🙂
Hi there! How are you doing today? I’m doing great! We’ve had a bit of rain here in Southern California and it’s been nice. We are thankful. And I’m thankful today for this really nice stamp set, Petal Palette. It’s a popular set, and the bundle is a popular bundle, and I see why. It’s one of those sets where the stamps stamp clear and easy, everything turns out the way you expect it to, and the dies cut crisply around the stamped images. I love sets like this ~ quick and easy…and pretty!
I was in a green mood today (a good green mood!) so I used a few of my favorite Stampin’ Up! green colors: Old Olive and the newer Lemon Lime Twist. I think they look nice together.
The leaves are my favorite things in this bundle, both the leaf stamp and the leaves die. Leaves? Well leaves fill in places on cards, behind flowers, behind sentiments…things like that. And these leaves are tall and have several branches. That means when you cut leaves with the die they are tall enough to peek out nicely from behind things, and the stamped leaves are really pretty and look so good inside the card and on the envelope. What do YOU think of the leaves?
This is a fabulous bundle! It has so many options ~ there are eight (8) separate sentiments plus flowers, leaves and even a bird. I want to point out three things you may not notice about this bundle: (1) there is a die which is an elongated rectangular lattice, perfect for layering! (2) this is a great frame die for sentiments, it’s different from anything else we have, and (3) there is a stamp of dots in a rectangular form that is fun as a background stamp.
Today’s card uses the beautiful Southern Serenade stamp set. This is the first time I’ve used this set. Using a new stamp set is like finding a treasure…you know basically what’s in it, but as you dig more you find some very special pieces!
In this set, is discovered this very neat lace stamp. I’d seen it in the set but had no idea how pretty it is! Here I used it as a background stamp with the neutral Soft Suede ink.
The ribbon is the Calypso Coral from the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer Ribbon Pack and it’s free with any $50 order! I used the ribbon in three different ways on these cards. For the center card I just ran the ribbon horizontally across the lower portion of the card. For the card on the right, I zig zagged the ribbon back and forth under the flowers. And for the card on the left, as I was zig zagging the ribbon I gave it a little twist – I like how it turned out!

There are a lot of flower stamps. In fact, there are gobs and gobs of flower stamps out there. But I guarantee you’ve never seen a stamp like this one! Here’s a video to show you more.
This stamp was created by taking a photograph of a real live bouquet of flowers and turning that photograph into a stamp!! That’s why it’s so realistic! And, when you look at it, you wonder if it will even stamp because the stamp side is very flat But there are amazing indentations that produce this beautiful stamped image.
Today’s card is very easy to make. Simply stamp the flower stamp on a piece of Whisper White card stock 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. Layer a Tea Lace Doily under that stamped panel. Stamp one of the pretty sentiments in this set onto your card base. You can stamp it either at the top right corner of the card base or the lower right corner. For the sentiment I used Archival Black Ink. Adhere the doily-backed panel onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and that’s it, you’re done! Very easy, and VERY pretty!
So, now that you’ve seen this fabulous stamp set I know you really need to have it! I know that because that’s how I felt when I first saw it! And the wonderful thing is that it’s FREE!
