A Versailles Garden Thank You!

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird Thanks - prettypapercards - stampinup

Today’s card is a yummy combination of stamp sets and dies that together create a shabby chic garden scene. I love creating shabby cards! My kind of shabby has torn and distressed paper edges, layers, and lace and flowers 🙂

The bird and the flowers on this card are from the Free as a Bird stamp set. The bird was stamped with Crumb Cake ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. The flowers were stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I very lightly watercolored the flowers with watered down Flirty Flamingo ink.

Along with the flowers, some Pear Pizazz leaves are tucked in under the bird. This is all set on a Whisper White doily cut using the Doily Wishes Dies. And behind the doily is a piece of Soft Seafoam card stock stamped in Soft Seafoam ink using a gorgeous Distinktive Stamp from the new Very Versailles stamp set. (I LOVE this stamp set!!) There is also a piece of Vellum behind the stamped piece.

The Whisper White card base is topped with a piece of Blushing Bride card stock and a piece of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, and both have been set at angles to provide a bit of interest. The papers have been distressed on the edges using my Paper Snips. Just run one of the blades along the sides of the paper until it frays a bit. Actually, the more the better! The sentiment is a stamp from the Very Versailles set that’s been heat embossed in white on a piece of Vellum. The Vellum was then cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

Pals Blog Hop: Anything With Wings!

Welcome to the Pals’ June  Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects using “Anything with Wings” You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin' Up! Woven Threads Bird Box - prettypapercards - stampinup

My “winged” project is a sweet little box and a tag or box topper, depending on your preference! The box was created with the new Perfect Parcel Dies – and I almost missed these in the catalog! Oh my gosh I love this little box!

Stampin' Up! Woven Threads Bird Box - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The box was made using two 6″ x 8″ pieces of Terracotta Tile card stock and one of the dies. There is one die which creates the box and you run both pieces of cardstock through the Big Shot separately, so that the score lines show through very clearly.

The box topper is cut to the size of the box, 4″ x 2.” It slides right on top of the box to give it a pretty top. The box and the topper are created with Terracotta Tile card stock and covered with the new Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. This designer series paper includes all of the new 2019-2020 In Colors.

If you prefer to make a tag, use a 4-1/2″ x 2″ piece of Terracotta Tile card stock punched at the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

The new Scalloped Lace Trim was added around all sides of the box and affixed with tiny dots of multipurpose glue. This is new lace trim and I might just use it on everything!! 🙂 The box itself is tied up with a pretty bow of Call Me Clover 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Woven Threads Thanks Box - prettypapercards - stampinup

Both the tag and the box topper are decorated with some Call Me Clover Leaf Ribbon. The Well Written Dies have this tiny bird die – he’s so darling! I cut him out from Seaside Spray cardstock. I also used the dies to cut the “thanks” sentiment out of Terracotta Tile card stock. A few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment added a bit of bling!

It’s true, tomorrow the magnolias are coming! The beautiful Magnolia Lane Suite will be available! Yippee! Oh my goodness, you are going to LOVE everything in this suite, AND in the new annual catalog, all of which go live tomorrow!

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia - prettypapercards - stampinup

Today’s card was created with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. This is a layered card and the base is Petal Pink card stock. The next layer is Whisper White card stock that’s been stamped with the leaf stamp from the set and Petal Pink ink.

The designer series paper here is the black piece cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. It sits on top of a piece of Vellum card stock also cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Stitched Lace Magnolia Thank You!

Stampin' Up! Magnolia Memories & More - Peggy Noe - stampinup
Magnolias! Today’s card was created with the new Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack available next week. I love this card pack, it has different sized cards and stickers that make creating a pretty card SO easy!

Also, I want to show you another item in the new catalog: it’s the Stitched Lace Die! Do you see the lacy Soft Sea Foam piece underneath the sentiment? It was cut with this die:

Isn’t it pretty? It’s quite large so you can cut it down and use smaller pieces wherever you want. It adds a lacy texture here on today’s card,

The leaves you see around the sentiment are some of the stickers I was mentioning before. The sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. A bit of Mossy Meadow Linen Thread is tied around the smaller card.

The Sweetest Thank You Card Ever!!

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Today’s card is a preview of the beautiful Bird Ballad Suite that will be available on June 4th. And surprisingly, there are no birds on this card! So why do I think it’s the sweetest thank you card ever?

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Mostly it’s the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. This particular design is precious! The colors blend so beautifully and the pattern is – well, sweet. The card base is Blushing Bride card stock, which really brings out the pink in the designer series paper. The sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set is also stamped on Blushing Bride card stock. It’s a delicate, sweet sentiment 🙂

Free as a Bird Bundle
(available June 4th)

The Free as a Bird Bundle includes the stamp set and the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I used one of the dies to cut out the sentiment piece. Isn’t it a great shape?

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird - Prettypapercards - stampinup

The flowers are from the stamp set, stamped on Whisper White card stock and colored with Stampin’ Blends. They were then fussy cut with Paper Snips. The leaves were punched with my trusty Leaf Punch. I think this has to be my all-time favorite punch. A bit of new Scallop Lace Trim is tucked up under the sentiment, and some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls are scattered around. I love these pearls, and they are only available until June 3rd. If you love them like I do, be sure to grab them now.

Altogether, I think this card is delicate and sweet, one of my very favorites ever!! What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know. I hope you’re adding the Free as a Bird Bundle and the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to your wish list for June 4th!

Card Giveaway! Have You Seen The NEW In Colors?

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight - prettypapercards - stampinup

Oh my goodness, the new 2019-2021 In Colors are SO pretty! The more I play with them, the more I love them. And I still don’t have a favorite! These colors will be available June 4th in inks, card stock, ribbon, etc.

Pretty Peacock is a luscious deep blue green. I think this will be a favorite of many. Purple Posy is a light purple, lighter than Highland Heather. I’m leaning toward choosing this as my favorite. But then, there’s Rococo Rose, and it’s a muted pink shade, and I do love pink…

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thanks - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Seaside Spray is another soft color. I think this might look nice with our existing Soft Sea Foam. And then there’s Terracotta Tile, It’s a bright brick color that would work well with a southwest theme.

So, what do YOU think? From looking at them here, which do you like best and why? Leave me a comment by midnight tonight, Monday, May 13, 2019, and I’ll randomly choose one comment and send that person one of these cards using that color! I’m anxious to know what you think 🙂

Today’s cards were cased from another demonstrator. They are easy to make and actually fun! Using a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock, punch a hole in the upper center of the piece using the Starburst Punch. Then stamp the sentiment at the bottom center under the punched starburst, using the ink color that matches the color of your daisies. Adhere the card stock to a Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thanks - prettypapercards - stampinup

Punch two daisies of your desired card stock color using the Daisy Punch. Curl the petals using a Bone Folder. Adhere one daisy in the center of the punched circle using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Adhere the second daisy at an angle in the center of the first daisy, also using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Add a Gold Faceted Gem to the center of the top daisy.

And, since we are talking about In Colors, don’t forget about the outgoing 2017-2019 In Colors! Some of those have been well loved by many of us! Click the box below to see them.
