At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the new In Color, Barely Blush. But as I’ve used it, I’ve come to really like it! It’s a great neutral. And if you want to use it as a featured color, I believe the key is to add different shades and textures as I’ve done with this card.
Today I”m playing with the Global Design Project and casing this card by Kim Fee. It’s been so much fun to study all of the details of her pretty card.

To add texture, a piece of Barely Blush Sunset Shimmer Vellum was embossed with the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder. On top of that is a piece of Two-Tone Barely Blush cardstock with a smaller piece Barely Blush gingham from the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper. Then a torn piece of the beautiful Bloom Boutique Specialty Paper was adhered in the center of the rectangle.

I used the Boutique Blossoms Bundle to stamp and cut the flowers and leaves. The leaves were cut from the Sunset Vellum and some Gold Foil to tie in with the Designer Series Paper. The sentiment from the Scalloped Bloom Stamp Set was stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Two-Tone Barely Blush cardstock, and punched out with a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.

Everything was tied up with a pretty Barely Blush bow, and some In Color Dots finish it off with bling!
