Today I have for you a quick and easy Valentine card. I’ve used the beautiful Sweet Sorbet cardstock and ink. This is such a pretty red, I just love it! The card base is Sweet Sorbet, and the first layer is a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock; This layer is “distressed” with Paper Snips Scissors. Here is a video that shows you how to distress your cardstock:
The next layer on this card is a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Daffodil-striped Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper that was also distressed. This is one of my favorite papers in this pack!
On the left side of the striped paper I used a Blender Pen with Sweet Sorbet ink to create a circle of color 🙂 The circle highlights the hearts above it. I’ve also used a dot stamp from the Nested Friends stamp set to scatter Sweet Sorbet dots all over 🙂
The hearts are punched with the 2 punches in the fabulous Heart Punch Pack. These are some of my favorite punches EVER! The Sweet Sorbet heart is punched with the scalloped heart punch, and the Daffodil Delight heart is punched with the other straight-sided heart.
Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge. I like that this challenge gives us so much freedom of creation!
To finish off the card I’ve added a Burlap Ribbon bow and some Red Rhinestones.
