Today’s card is a soft spring birthday card made with pastel colors. It features one of my new favorite bundles, the Queen Bee Bundle.
This Bundle is gorgeous, and today’s card shows off the darling little bee dies – aren’t they sweet? The little bees are hovering over leaves cut from Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzaz cardstock using the dies.
My card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Challenge. We are to “copy and selectively edit” the card shown below
Do you see the soft Balmy Blue behind the flowers on the sample card? I replicated that by using a Blending Brush to brush Balmy Blue ink on the Basic White cardstock layer. Then I covered it with a polka dotted piece of Vellum Basics Specialty Paper. It diffuses the blue slightly and gives a soft look to the whole card.
Finish off with the simple sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set, a bit of Linen Thread, and some Champagne Rhinestones.

Wow This is great!!! So elegant!! It will certainly cheer someone up. You can even use it for an everyday card!! We are thinking of starting a bee hive for real. I have someone that is brave and willing to get honey from it. lol NOT ME
