Today’s card uses two brand new products: the Tropical Leaf Bundle and one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Together they combine to make a great fun-fold card! I wasn’t sure what this fold was called, but I looked it up and I think it’s a double gatefold card. 🙂
This card begins with a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ base piece of Polished Pink cardstock. Then a 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Parakeet Party cardstock was stamped all over, tone-on-tone, with the both leaf stamps using Parakeet Party ink. Garden Green ink was used to stamp the veins on the leaves.
The next layer is an 11″ x 4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock scored at 2″ and 1-3/4″ on each end. That leaves a center of 3-1/2.” Adhere the back of this “card” to the center of the stamped layer with Multipurpose Glue. In the center of the “card,” a 3-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock has been stamped with the small leaves and stems and adhered with glue.
On the outside of the two front panels is first, a 1-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ piece of Polished Pink cardstock, and then a 1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Parakeet Party cardstock that’s been embossed with the flower embossing folder in the Basics above.
On the outside left front panel is a piece of Polished Pink cardstock cut with one of the Scalloped Contour Dies. On top of that is a Basic White label from the Painted Labels Dies. It fits perfectly inside the scallops! The ribbon is adhered to the back of the Polished Pink piece with Tear & Tape before it is placed on the left front panel.
Three leaves were stamped and punched out with the Tropical Leaf punch and adhered to the front label. The sentiment was stamped and fussy cut, then placed on the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Be sure to watch the video tutorial above for more detailed instructions.
