Have you ever made a slimline card? It’s easy, and very fun. And today I’m gong to teach you how. Are you ready? Alright, let’s begin with a 7″ x 8″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Score the piece in half (at 3-1/2″) on the 7″ side, fold, and you have your slimline card!

Layer the front of the card with a 3-1/4″ x 7-3/4″ (retiring) piece Soft Succulent cardstock, and a 3″ x 7-1/2″ (retiring) Petal Pink piece of the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper.

This card features the darling (retiring) Full of Love stamp set. For this card I used the envelope stamp with the flowers coming out of it. Stamp the image on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Crumb Cake ink, then color in with Stampin’ Blends (Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, and Fresh Freesia). Fussy cut the envelope and the flowers with your Paper Snips Scissors.

Cut a 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Mint Macaron colored (retiring) Country Gingham Designer Series Paper. Punch two 2″ circles of Petal Pink colored (retiring) Country Gingham paper. Adhere all of these to the front of the card as shown, with the rectangle at an angle and the circles tucked under the lower left and upper right corners. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here’s the video tutorial:

Punch two Soft Succulent cardstock “boughs” using the Bough Punch. Adhere the floral envelope image to the Mint Macaron Gingham piece at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tuck the boughs under the envelope and glue using Multipurpose Glue.

Cut a 3″ piece of (retiring) Soft Succulent Shimmer Ribbon (angle the cut on the right side) and adhere with Stampin’ Seal+ to the upper-left front of the card. Stamp the sentiment from the Sentimental Park stamp set in Soft Succulent ink on a 1″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Trim the right edge of the cardstock at an angle matching the angle of the ribbon. Adhere the sentiment piece over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add some (retiring) Champagne Rhinestones for bling.

This card fits perfectly in the retiring Slimline Envelopes! It looks so pretty when you put it in the mail – the recipient is sure to love it!
