Today’s project is a darling little triangle treat box. I just love it! Look at how cute the sides are 🙂 This box was originally made by the British demonstrator Pootles. I decided to make it a holiday treat box that could be used for gifts or for your holiday dinner table!
The box has a special triangle lid that sticks to the front of the box with a tiny, tiny magnet. The beautiful paper is the new Shining Christmas Designer Series Paper. It was recently released as an Online Exclusive.
The box can hold about 4 chocolate kisses, or hard candies…maybe more. It’s made with an 8″ x 10-1/2″ piece of Real Red cardstock, scored on the long side at 2″ – 5″ – 7″ – and 10,” and on the short side at 2″ and 5.”
Cut 3 pieces, each 2-3/4″ square, of the Shining Christmas Designer Series Paper. Use one piece on the front of the box and one on the back. The third piece is cut in a triangle for the front flap. Watch the video below for all the details.
This diagram will help you, especially if you follow along with the video. The little, tiny magnets used to secure the front triangle flap are from Amazon and they can be found HERE.
The front flap is decorated with pine needles cut from Garden Green cardstock using the Joy of Noel Dies. A little red bow finishes it off.
