We always need cute treat boxes during the holidays, don’t we? Today I have a fun treat box for you and it can hold a few hard candies or a mini antibacterial gel from Bath & Body Works!
To create the holder, cut a strip of Real Red cardstock 2″ x 7-1/2″ and score 3-1/8″ from each end. Then punch each end with the Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch.
Watch my video tutorial below:
To create the little box that goes inside the strip of cardstock, cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 3-7/8″ x 3-1/16″ and score at 1″ on all four sides. Hold this piece lengthwise in a landscape position and trim on the score lines at the top and the bottom, mitering each cut (see the video tutorial). Glue the edges of the box and adhere the box to the base of the strip with Tear & Tape; then adhere the sides to the strip with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Cut 2″ x 2″ pieces of the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper. Adhere one square to the front and one square to the back of the strip.
Using the gingerbread man stamp from the Sending Cheer Stamp Set, stamp one gingerbread man in Copper Clay ink on a scrap of Basic Write cardstock. Stamp his little face in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and color in the heart buttons with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker; cut him out with the coordinating die and glue him to one side of the box front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Tie a bow with red ribbon and adhere it above the gingerbread man with a Mini Glue Dot.
This little treat box is SO cute! You could use different colors and papers to make it for any occasion!
