Every so often we need to make a sympathy card. Actually it’s good to have a few on hand. Well today is one of those days that I needed a sympathy card.
Recently I got the Keeping Tabs Stamp Set and I noticed that it had a sympathy sentiment. It’s always fun to use a new stamp set, so I decided to create my card with this new set!
The thing I like the most in this stamp set is the floral tab. The tab stamps have two sides so that the tabs can fold in the center and there’s a pattern on each side. Here I used the floral stamp – the thin straight edge of the stamp – to create an edging on each side of the Basic White piece. I used Blackberry Bliss ink. After I stamped the edges of the white piece, I scored each side with the Stampin’ Trimmer a few times with lines 1/4″ apart. I like the way it turned out 🙂
Down the center of the white piece I adhered a Blackberry Bliss strip. This makes a nice background for the Lost Lagoon tropical leaves that were punched with the Tropical Leaf Punch. The sentiment is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.
One of the Paper Butterfly Accents was colored with Blackberry Bliss ink using a Blending Brush. It was then adhered to the strip with a few dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
