Today I’m doing something new — I’ve decided to make a family scrapbook! So many people are creating beautiful scrapbook pages, and seeing theirs made me want to make my own 🙂  So I’m starting out with a page of me and my husband and the big anniversary we recently celebrated.

It’s actually quite shocking. I can’t even believe it, so it definitely needs to be documented!! I started with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Country Lace Designer Series Paper. I used this piece because it’s very neutral but it does have a small pattern which makes a nice background.

I just love the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. It not only has 12″ x 12″ sheets of pretty paper, but it also has die-cut floral frames and flowers. And the colors are just so nice.

To document our anniversary, I cut the numbers from one of the patterned papers using the Alphabet a la Mode Dies. Then I cut a circle from another sheet of the paper using the Deckled Rectangle Dies and adhered the numbers. I added a cute bow of baker’s twine and put a die-cut floral flourish on top.

The Pocket Thoughts Stamp Set has a cute diamond ring (What?!!) that was just calling out to be used here! It also has the “Lots of Love” sentiment which I stamped in Pretty Peacock ink, die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies and popped onto a die-cut floral piece from Frames & Flowers.

I couldn’t be happier with the way my page turned out. I think I’m on the way to creating a great family scrapbook!
