Winter Thank You Card!

Today’s card was inspired by some pretty winter colors. It’a fun to use colors that you don’t normally use, colors that challenge you, and I like it! Here are the colors for this challenge:

I really love the Nests of Winter Dies and I’ve been waiting for an occasion to use them. The nest die is just so cool! Here it was cut from Wild Wheat cardstock, and it’s combined with the Cheerful Daisies. The nest is set within the daisies, just like it might appear in nature 🙂

In the Cheerful Daisies Dies there’s one die that’s a combination of three daisies. I used this die once, cutting it with Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Then I colored some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Blackberry Bliss ink using a Water Painter, and cut it also with the same die. The watercolored piece was layered over the Blackberry Bliss piece, and slightly offset.

Some leaves were cut from Night of Navy cardstock, and tucked in around the daisies. A few little birds were fussy cut from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Pape, placed on and around the nest, and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set. It’s a nice little “thank you” and I’ve been using it a lot. Here it was stamped on Basic White cardstock and cut out with the Perennial Postage Dies.
