Have you noticed how quite a few people have birthdays in late December? And I always wonder whether to send them a Christmas-themed birthday card, or just what. This year I’ve decided to go with winter cards, and today I have for you a winter birthday card that could be used for all winter birthdays.

The Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper seemed perfect for this card. The pattern I’ve used on the card base here really looks like winter to me. It has branches with little white blossoms that kind of look like snow. Then the coordinating striped pattern was used for the bottom panel.
Here’s a video showing you exactly how to make this card, and it has all the dimensions and measurements for you!

This card has a mini card on top of the main card. And there’s a flap on the main card that folds up and tucks under the front of the mini card. Cute! I’m “casing” this card from my friend, Ruth Gonzales. She made a card with this fold and I loved it so much, I had to make one too!

And, there’s a sneak peek on this card! On top of the mini card is a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that’s been embossed with the upcoming All In a Row Embossing Folder in the 2026 Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog. This folder will be available on January 6, and you’re going to LOVE IT!
The leaves on this card are die cut from vellum and use a special technique for coloring. I colored the vellum on the top with a Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker (in this case I used Mossy Meadow), let that dry and then painted each leaf with Wink of Stella. I added some white dots on the leaves here with a white gel pen, but on the video I forgot to do that đ I kind of like it for winter, as it looks a bit like snow!

Above is what the card looks like opened. I think the mini card is cute, and it makes the card special because of the different opening!
