HAPPY 2026 my friends! I’m walking into 2026 with thankfulness for SO much – especially YOU! I so appreciate you reading my blog posts and being interested in and inspired by my creations. I wish you much joy and peace in the new year, as you also create beautiful papercrafts!
To start off the new year I’m taking inspiration from a challenge called Colour Inkspirations. Here is the inspiration picture:
These beautiful colors are perfect for a winter card using the Petals of Beauty Bundle. And, I’m using two techniques that can upgrade any card!
For the vellum leaves, I’ve colored the vellum with Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends and then cut the vellum with a leaf die in the set. And for the flowers, I used the “faux suede” technique, where you use a bone folder to break down the fibers in the die-cut flower. This causes the cardstock to separate, and you can divide the flower into two halves, each with a “fuzzy” or suede-look side!

These are gorgeous colors to work with. I love the addition of the Gold Foil. It really makes the card “fancy.”
