Today’s card is a sweet floral birthday card made with the gorgeous black and white Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper.
I colored the black and white paper with a Barely Blush Shimmer Brush and a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil. It’s really fun and relaxing to sit and color this paper. I feel like a kid, with no worries and no time constraints. I just sit and calmly color to my little heart’s content 🙂
The card base is a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Barely Blush cardstock, scored at 4-1/4.” The designer series paper is cut at 3-3/4″ x 5,” and a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock cut 1/8″ larger on both sides backs the designer series paper. This add a nice thin frame to the designer series paper.
The sentiment is from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set. It’s one of my favorite birthday sentiments – love the size and the font! It’s stamped on a piece of Barely Blush cardstock and punch out with a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch.
This card is classic and has a simple look, but the hand-colored designer series paper steals the show!
