Let’s celebrate today with a red, white and blue card using the brand new July Product of the Month: the Begonia Belle Stamp Set!

My stamp set arrived yesterday and I just HAD to use it! I love flowers and I’m so excited about this pretty stamp set. I did a little research on begonias. Apparently, even though these plants are admired for their beautiful flowers, they are equally admired for their large, detailed foliage (leaves). So I decided to feature the leaves, as well as the flowers!

Old Olive ink was used to stamp a row of leaves across the top of the card front, about 1/2″ down from the fold. A piece of Real Red & White Stitched Ribbon was wrapped around the top front of the card and tied in a bow in the center.
See exactly how to create this card by watching the replay of my video below:

This is a 2-step stamp set. That means you have one stamp with the outline of the image, and then a second stamp which fills in the outline. For the large leaf, I only used the outline stamp. But for the begonia flower, I used both stamps. For the red flower I used Real Red ink for the outline and Strawberry Slush ink to fill it in.

This was the first time I used this set, but you can be sure I’ll be using it more. There are so many options with flowers!
Remember, to get this Product of the Month Stamp Set, you pay only $5 with a minimum $75 order (before tax and shipping). It’s a great deal to be able to get this stamp set for only $5!

Happy 4th of July!
