Today’s card is a combination of two new stamp sets you may not have seen. They are individual stamp sets that are part of the new Hot Foil System release, and they can be used as stand-alone stamp sets. I think they’re fabulous, and I want you to see them!
The thing I love about the Flourish & Frames Stamp Set is THE BEE! I really like bees. Well, I like to look at them, I don’t like them to sting me. So when I saw this stamp set, I had to have it!
The Sweetly Sentimental Stamp Set has a gorgeous cabbage rose – who doesn’t love a cabbage rose?, And, it has some written words that look good on vintage or shabby chic cards. This is my type of stamp set 🙂
I made three different versions of this card with different colors and different coloring methods. On two of the cards I used Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers, and on one I used Watercolor Pencils.
For the card colored with Watercolor Pencils, I didn’t add water to the color. I think the pencils alone give a soft look. And on this card I used Secret Sea ink for the rose, the bee, and the sentiment.
The sentiment used on these cards is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set. I think it’s a nice alternative to “thinking of you.” And the coordinating Three Banner Punch makes the sentiment so versatile, you can tuck it in anywhere on the card!
