Cheers from the Bees!

I really love this bee from the Flourish & Frames Stamp Set, and I keep looking for any way to use it! When I saw this week’s Global Design Challenge, I knew I would make a bee card 🙂

I cut four squares of Basic White cardstock using the Perennial Postage Dies. Then a bee was stamped on each square with Secret Sea ink. A Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker was used to lightly color each bee.

The card base is regular Daffodil Delight cardstock. Then a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Two-Tone Daffodil Delight cardstock was used as a background for the bees. The lighter shade of the two-tone cardstock is facing upward so that it creates a slight contrast with the card base. The four bee squares are adhered to this piece.

A piece of Barely Blush ribbon is wrapped around the center of the bee panel. The sentiment was hot foiled on Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the Sweetly Sentimental Bundle. Behind the sentiment is a piece of Barely Blush cardstock cut with the Three Banner Punch.

The Stampin’ Hot Foil System is amazing! It’s so much fun to create foiled sentiments and flowers and leaves and… If you’ve never done this, you’ll love it!
