A Million Thanks!

Today’s card is a fun color challenge from Global Design Project! Check out these beautiful colors below.

It’s fun to use such pretty colors to create a card. I started with a Basic White card base. Then I added a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Balmy Blue cardstock.

The front is a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. This piece was watercolored on the top with some Lemon Lolly ink and a Water Painter. Below that I stamped some leaves from the Bee My Valentine stamp set using Balmy Blue ink. Then I watercolored the flowers with a Water Painter and Fresh Freesia ink. The Fresh Freesia looks darker on the flowers 🙂

In the center of the front piece is a 3/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock stamped with the sentiment from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set. These sentiments are SO pretty! This is an online exclusive and can only be found online. I used Fresh Freesia ink to stamp the sentiment.

A piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper was watercolored with Fresh Freesia ink using a Water Painter. After the piece was dry, I cut it using the smallest flag die from the Nested Essentials Die Set. Then I dropped some water droplets on the little flags to create the dots that you see. When dry, the flags were glued to a piece of White Baker’s Twine and that was glued to the top of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A tiny bow of White Baker’s Twine was added to each end of the banner.
