Stampin' Up! Magnolia Journal - Peggy Noe - stampinup

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to think about gift giving (hostess gifts, friend gifts, holiday gifts…). And Stampin’ Up! has a solution for us: the Pressed Petal Journal! It’s a lovely journal with pages that have pretty graphics. And it’s small enough to be a little book for notes or prayers, and the kraft cover is debossed which means the floral images, instead of being slightly raised up are slightly lowered.

To decorate this darling journal, simply cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of any designer series paper to fit the cover ~ here I’ve used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Adhere it to the front cover with Multipurpose Glue. Cut another piece of designer series paper at 4″ x 1-1/2″ and adhere it across the upper section of the other piece as you see above. In this case I simply used the reverse side of the first sheet. The papers are made to coordinate and they look fabulous! Tie a bow around the cover as shown using the absolutely gorgeous Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon.

The sentiment “Just a Note” is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Petal Pink card stock. Punch out the sentiment with the Starburst Punch. Adhere the punched sentiment to the strip of designer series paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut a few leaves from Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam card stock using the Magnolia Memory Dies. Adhere them with Mini Glue Dots under the sentiment as shown.  Add a little Frosted Epoxy Droplet.
