Clean and Simple Beautiful Bouquet Birthday!

Stampin' Up! Happy Beautiful Birthday - Peggy Noe - stampinup

I don’t know about you, but I always need birthday cards! And this one was easy to make with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. The stamps and coordinating framelits work so perfectly together. I stamped the flowers, cut them with the framelits, ad popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Happy Beautiful Birthday - Prettypapercards - stampinup

Under the flower is a piece of pretty Lemon Lime Twist Striped Ribbon, one of my all time favorite ribbons!! I’m trying to have fun with the outgoing In Colors before they leave us on May 31st.  The flowers were stamped with Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum. These are such beautiful colors, I’ll be sad to see them go 🙁

Sweet Bird and Basket Weave Card!

Stampin' Up! Petal Palette Thank You - Prettypapercards - stampinup

The Sale-a-Bration Basket Weave Embossing Folder is going to be a classic. For one thing, it’s carrying over after Sale-a-Bration – that’s good. But the best part is that it adds beautiful texture to any project! For today’s card it forms a nice background for the rest of the card!

Today’s card is for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. This is a really fun Tic Tac Toe Board! I ended up using both diagonal lines (Aperature/Gold Silver/Texture and Floral/Gold Silver/Sequins) and the left column (Aperature/Vellume/Floral) and the right column (Sequins/Circle/Texture) on my card! These elements are really easy to use together!

Stampin' Up! Petal Palette Thank You - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The basket weave is especially appropriate for anything bird related. Doesn’t it make you think of a bird nest? I love the little bird in the Petal Palette Bundle, and here I’ve colored him with Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake Blends. I also gave him a deep blue eye with the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend 🙂

Stampin' Up! Tic Tac Toe Challenge - Prettypapercards - stampinup

Under the bird is a combination of vellum punched leaves and floral dies cut with the Petals & More Thinlits Dies. White on white and vellum is such a beautiful combination. I love the softness of it. Under the circle “window” is some of the new Sale-a-Bration Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper ~ gorgeous!!

.This paper is WAY MORE beautiful than it looks in this photo. You will love it! So, how do you get some?? It’s easy ~ just place a $50 order through me HERE and choose this paper as your FREE Sale-a-Bration Gift! Use the item number above (147193) to get this paper. It makes such pretty cards!

Thank you for popping over to my little corner of the world! Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Wedding Cake Card!

Stampin' Up! Cake Soiree Bundle Card - Prettypapercards - stampinup

Doesn’t this look like one of the prettiest wedding cakes you’ve ever seen? Can you believe this is handmade? Well, YOU can create this card too!

Stampin' Up! Cake Soiree Happy Birthday Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

It’s seriously not that hard. Let’s look at it closely. First, the blue (Marina Mist) layer was embossed with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. Easy, right? Then a Whisper White circle was cut with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. This creates a point of focus behind the cake. Again, easy!

Stampin' Up! Birthday Cake Card - Prettypapercards - stampinup

Now for the Silver Foil Cake Plate~cut the base and the lace-detailed tray with the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies (part of the Cake Soiree Bundle). Then stamp the cake with one of the gorgeous stamps from the Cake Soiree Stamp Set and cut it out with another one of the framelits. Almost done!

Stampin' Up! Wedding Cake Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Then cut some pretty leaves and a bow to decorate the cake, all from the Sweet Cake Framelits. This is a set of 16 dies! Wow! You can add the sentiment if you like, or leave it off. And a bit of ribbon and baker’s twine finish off the card. See, not that hard. This is a stepped-up version of this card, you can easily simplify by leaving off some of the leaves and the ribbon. It will still be a beautiful card.

Stampin' Up! Holiday Box Champagne Foil - Peggy Noe - stampinup

A pretty box is just what we need for holiday gift giving! As paper crafters, we have the ability to actually make an easy small box.

Stampin' Up! Holiday Gift Box Champagne Foil - Peggy Noe - stampinup

For this box I used a beautiful Champagne Foil Sheet ~ isn’t it gorgeous? To decorate the top of the box I added an additional piece of Champagne Foil that was embossed with the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Do you see how it has the pattern of a snowflake? And the box opens easily at the front so that you can slip in the little gift!

Stampin' Up! Champagne Foil Holiday Box - Prettypapercards - stampinup

The Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched Ribbon was slipped under the embossed piece and then tied up in a bow on the top. It’s the perfect finish to the blingy box!!

Stampin' Up! Champagne Foil Holiday Foil Gift Boxes - Prettypapercards - stampinup

You can use all kinds of different papers to make boxes. I made a second box using Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. For this box I cut pieces of the designer series paper and adhered them on all of the sides of the box.

To make the box:

  • Start with an 11″ x 7″ piece of card stock
  • Placing the card stock in a horizontal/landscape position, use the score blade on your Stampin’ Trimmer to score at 2″ – 5″ – 7″ – and 10″
  • Turn the card stock to the vertical/portrait position and score at 2″ and 5″
  • Hold the card stock in the vertical/portrait position, with the smallest scored section at the top (1″)… you will see three scored sections along the top. Trim away the left and right sides, leaving a 3″ wide x 1″ deep tab. This forms the tab which is part of the lid of the box.
  • Turn the card stock back to the horizontal/landscape position and cut up from the bottom of the card stock at each vertical score line just as far as the first horizontal score line.
  • Flip the card stock around so that the side you have just cut is now at the top. Again cut up from the bottom of the piece at each vertical score line just as far as the first horizontal score line.
  • Fold and burnish each score line. Form the box with the tabbed lid at the top. Trim the sides of the lid to 1″ deep, to match the tab.
  • Put the box together, adhering the sides with Tear & Tape or Fast Fuse
  • Run a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of card stock through the Big Shot inside of the Winter Wonder Texture Impressions Embossing Folder (see how to get it FREE below!).
  • Tie ribbon around the embossed piece, making a bow at the top. Adhere to the top of your box.

I will be posting a video tutorial with instructions on how to assemble the box later this week. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of this post.

I’d sure love to hear what you think of this box and my video. I’m trying to get better at them 🙂 Please leave your COMMENT HERE.
