Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month our projects showcase themes that are “from the heart.” This includes any of the following themes… Valentine’s Day, Thinking of You, Get Well and/or Sympathy. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
Sometimes we just need a fancy Valentine. Whether you want to give someone a fancy Valentine or you want to receive one… And, if you need a fancy Valentine today, then this is for you 🙂
The star element of this card is the 3-D heart! It’s super-easy to make. I cut 5 hearts using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies. Each heart was stamped, both on the front and the back, with a flourish stamp from the Falling Flowers stamp set. The stamping puts patterns on the hearts which coordinate with the background designer series paper.

Each heart was then folded in half and the sides glued together. I love the result!

The pretty Lace Doily is new in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. These doilies are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other side. How versatile is that? For my card I used the Very Vanilla side to go with the Very Vanilla card base.

Behind the doily is a circle punched from Calypso Coral card stock. This highlights both the doily and the heart! The Calypso Coral frame was created using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
