Take a Look at Home to Roost!

Stampin' Up! Home to Roost - Peggy Noe - stampinup

This is the first time I’ve used the Home to Roost stamp set and I really like it! The roosters are adorable! And, today I’ve created some valentine cards but you could use this set for any occasion ~ birthday, anything!

You can create one rooster or more than one rooster ~ singular or plural 🙂 When I discovered that I had to make two cards I colored the roosters in with Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers and made each rooster a little different.

Aren’t these little guys cute? You could create all kinds of fun scenarios for them — my mind is whirling!! I actually know people who raise chickens in their backyard and this stamp set will be perfect for them!

And the great thing about this stamp set is that it’s FREE! That’s right, this set is available as a FREE GIFT with a minimum $50 order. That’s why I love Sale-a-Bration ~ so many free items!

The black and white plaid paper here is also FREE. It’s the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. One side has butterfly patterns, and the other side of each sheet is a black and white pattern. Personally, I like the black and white side better!

Valentine Treat Holder!

Stampin' Up! Meant to Be Treat Holders - Peggy Noe - stampinup

It’s so much fun to give little gifts on Valentine’s Day! If you will be seeing a friend you can take one, if you go to the bank you can take one, you can give one to co-workers, a teacher or a grandchild! I’m hoping to have several on hand to take with me during Valentine’s week! 🙂

Stampin' Up! Valentine Treat Holder - Peggy Noe - stampiup

For this cutie, I made a little open gift bag by first running some Lovely Lipstick card stock through the Big Shot with the Lace Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder. I just love the lace texture! Then I created the bag by scoring that card stock on the Simply Scored Score Board. I’ll have the pattern and measurements for you tomorrow in my video! The top of the bag is trimmed with a 1/2″ strip of All My Love Designer Series Paper, and the front is decorated with some hearts cut using the Be Mine Framelits Dies.

After the bag is filled with treats (I used traditional candy hearts), a fun tag on a stick was inserted into the candy! The tag is super simple to make by stamping a sentiment on Whisper White card stock and punching it with a 1-1/2″ Circle Punch. Then a background circle was punched out of Lovely Lipstick card stock using the 2″ Starburst Punch and attached to the sentiment piece. A wooden skewer stick cut in half was used to hold the circle sentiment.

So Hoppy Together Valentine!

Stampin' Up! Frog Valentine Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The So Hoppy Together Stamp Set is too cute! It’s a whimsical set full of fun little frogs and flying things 🙂  And these characters are just what you need for a sweet Valentine!

Stampin' Up! So Hoppy Valentine Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The frog was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored her in with Real Red, Lovely Lipstick, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. Then I gave her some foo-foo eyelashes with a black marker!

You can only get this stamp set FREE (yes, it’s true!) when you place an order of $50 or more! It’s part of Sale-a-Bration and can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration Catalog! CLICK HERE to find out more!

The hearts and sentiment on today’s card are from the Meant to Be Cling Stamp Set. I like this sentiment because it’s traditional and just what you would expect on a Valentine!

Art from the Heart Pals Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! January is all about making “Art from the Heart,” featuring projects for Valentines Day, Thinking of You, Get Well, or Sympathy. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin' Up! Tea Together Valentine - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The theme “art from the heart” makes me think of a card ~ made with love ~ for a special person! I made today’s card for a special friend who gave me a teapot from Russia. We enjoy having tea together (and also coffee). When I saw the Tea Together stamp set I knew right away that I would use it to make a card for her 🙂

Stampin' Up! Love Tea Together - prettypapercards - stampinup

This is such a sweet stamp set! The coordinating Tea Time Framelits Dies were used to cut out the teapot and cup from the All My Love Designer Series Paper. I think they look like fine china!!

Stampin' Up! Tea Together Card - prettypapercards - stampinup

This card uses three different sets of dies, each one of the sets is amazing! The sentiment was stamped on layered hearts that were cut using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. The grouping of white hearts under the teapot were also cut with a die from that set. When you use this particular die, little hearts pop out from the outline hearts!

Stampin' Up! Tea Together Valentine - prettypapercards - stampinup

Aren’t these tiny hearts darling? These are going to be great to use as confetti inside the card. They are slippery little things, so I gathered them together with the Take Your Pick Tool 🙂
