Party Banner Valentine Card!

Today’s card is for this week’s Theme Challenge at the Global Design Project. The theme is hearts, so I decided to continue using the Party Banners Dies (as I did yesterday), but I created a card with hearts!

The card base is Real Red cardstock topped with a piece of the cute Heart Gusseted Treat Bags. I cut one bag apart to use the pretty heart patterned paper.

A piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with one of the Party Banner Dies. The banner was then colored with a Blending Brush and Real Red ink. Then I spritzed the banner with a Stampin’ Spritzer full of water. I cut a few scalloped pieces of Real Red cardstock and tucked them under some Bubble Bath Ribbon that was tied around the banner.

A scrap of Vellum was cut with a leaf die from the Petals of Beauty Die Set, and then the leaves were colored with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker. When that dried, I brushed the leaves with some Wink of Stella 🙂

Some little hearts were punched from the Made With Love Designer Series Paper using a heart on the Bee Builder Punch. And some of the fun Loose Valentine’s Assortment Embellishments were added. I just love this cute card! I’m going to send it to one of my girlfriends for Valentine’s Day!
