Cute Little Birthday Cake!

What’s better than wishing someone happy birthday – with a pretty little cake? That’s just what this card does with the Piece of Cake Bundle! It’s so fun to choose one of the cute cake stamps in this set and then color it. Here I’ve used a Blender Pen and two ink pads, Poppy Parade and Petal Pink to color in the flowers on the cake. Just get a bit of the ink on the tip of the blender pen and color! Easy! To top the cake, I added a little butterfly cut from Poppy Parade card stock with one of the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies. And what do you think about the cute cake stand?

The sentiment is from the Well Said Bundle. It has lots of great word stamps and dies that you can combine to create sentiments. For this card, I stamped the word “HAPPY” in Lovely Lipstick ink on a tiny piece of Whisper White card stock.

Then I cut the word “birthday” from Whisper White card stock using the die. I also cut the same word out of Lovely Lipstick card stock and layered the white piece on top of the Lovely Lipstick piece, offsetting it just a bit to create depth. The two words are attached with dots of Multipurpose Glue.
