The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set is one of my favorite sets in the annual catalog 🙂 I like it because it has some GREAT birthday sentiment stamps, and some cute flowers and balloons which are just right for birthdays!

You can see what I mean on today’s card: the sentiment is cute, and the flowers and leaves are adorable! The flowers and leaves were used to create a stamped background. It’s fun to create your own background on a card and it’s easy! Here’s a video showing you just how to do it!
Now you have even more options for your stamp sets! I like this because my cards are even more “coordinated.” And using just a few colors really emphasizes this coordination!

Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green are beautiful colors on their own, but combined they are woo-hoo!

For this card I’ve created a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel that sits on top of the card base. It’s the panel that has become my background. Then I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock and a piece of Whisper White card stock. The Gorgeous Grape piece acts as a frame for the Whisper White piece. This is the piece on which I stamped the sentiment, along with a few green – well, they’re not leaves, but maybe foliage?

Isn’t this a quick and easy birthday card? You can use any colors to make lots of birthday cards! I love to do this to have cards on hand!
