This is such a fun bundle! I’ve been SO excited to show it to you! Why do I like it so much? Well, it has a darling doily…and I love doilies 🙂 Also, it’s a great birthday set with some really good birthday sentiments. But most of all, it has a CROWN!!!
When have you ever seen a stamp and coordinating die set with a CROWN?? This began when I was in Charlotte, North Carolina, in April for our Stampin’ Up! On Stage conference. Before the conference started, we toured the city and found out that it was named after Queen Charlotte, and the symbol for the city is a crown. I wanted to find a little crown to take home as a souvenir, but couldn’t find one – at least not one small enough to take on the airplane. Then, when we got to the conference the next day and saw the new catalog, there it was!! A CROWN!! Imagine my excitement! Well, of course I had to get this bundle 🙂

There’s a neat curved label die in this set that perfectly fits the sentiments from the stamp set. Here the sentiment is heat embossed in white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock, and then the label die was used to cut it out. Behind the label I tucked some Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and some Whisper White Flax ribbon.

The crown was stamped in Petal Pink ink on Petal Pink card stock and cut with the crown die. Gold Metallic Pearls were added to the crown and then set arbitrarily around on the card.

Behind it all is a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder. It reminds me of a crown that sits on a tufted pillow!
Let me know what you think about today’s card…I love your comments!

Very pretty card, Peggy! Wow, a lot of people would enjoy receiving it… it would make a young lady feel like a princess! ? Fun to read your story of your trip, and the meaning and history behind the name of the city you were in.
