It’s almost fall and it’s time to start thinking about fall leaves! This is a “transitional” card, bridging the transition between summer and fall 🙂 And, I’ve created a new video to help you make some pretty embossed and highlighted leaves!

Today’s card starts with the standard A2 card base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2,” scored at 4-1/4.” There are 2 panels on top of the card base. Each is cut at 3-3/4″ x 5.” The first panel is a piece of Mint Macaron Gingham from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. And the second panel is Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

The watercolor panel has a light Petal Pink watercolor wash. After that dries, stamp the gorgeous leaf stamp from the Very Versailles stamp set using Mint Macaron ink. Then add some Early Espresso splatter. Tie a piece of Linen Thread around the lower portion of the watercolored panel; and tie a bow.

Using the Nature’s Roots dies, emboss and cut two 3-leaf clusters from Mint Macaron card stock and one large leaf from Petal Pink card stock. Color the veins with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend as shown in the video. Then lightly sponge the edges of the leaves with a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink. Also very lightly sponge the leaves. Adhere the leaves over the Linen Thread using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a copper Leaf Trinket using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Petal Pink card stock. Cut with the small label die from the Perfect Parcel Dies, then trim as shown in the video, and adhere with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
