Candy Corn Card

Yippee! Candy corn is in the stores! Truthfully, I don’t like to eat candy corn that much…one or two pieces is enough for me. But, I LOVE to use candy corn for decorating. I know that’s bad. But it’s so bright and fun and it just speaks fall. That’s why I had to make a card with candy corn on it!

To make candy corn out of card stock, punch or cut out with the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies, three circles from about 1″ to 3″ in diameter. Cut the smallest circle out of Whisper White card stock, the medium-sized circle out of Daffodil Delight card stock, and the largest circle out of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Glue them together with Multipurpose Glue with the largest circle on the bottom. Let dry for a few minutes and then begin cutting the circle like a pie – into about 8 triangle pieces. Using your Paper Snips, round the three corners of each triangle and, voila – candy corn!

The Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder makes a wonderful background for the candy corn. The sentiment here is a sneak peek of a new stamp set called Tiny Keepsakes and it’s just the right thing for this card! Add a bow made of burlap ribbon on the top candy corn. To create the bow, pull apart the threads of the burlap by carefully cutting off the top thread, then just pulling off the successive threads. Here I used four threads together and tied a bow. Attach it to the candy corn with a Mini Glue Dot.
