Do you ever need something a little different? Well I needed to make some name tags for the ladies in my Bible study. So it occurred to me that cards that stand up horizontally like tents would make great name tags to put on tables in front of each person 🙂

Begin with a Whisper White card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2,” scored at 4-1/4.” Adhere a piece of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper cut to 4″ x 5-1/4.” For these name tags I used only the papers with Pretty Peacock sides, as I’m just loving this color right now! You can see all the beautiful patterns below. The reverse of these papers are fall patterns of other colors.

To create the sunflowers, punch two daisies from Petal Pink card stock with the Daisy Punch. Gently curl the ends of the daisy petals using a bone folder. Then adhere the two daisies together in the center using Multipurpose Glue, alternating the petals. With the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, punch the sunflower center from Pretty Peacock card stock. Adhere to the top of the daisies using Multipurpose Glue. Then adhere the entire sunflower to the lower left side of the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The names on the tags were made with a label maker. Each sticky label was the laid on a 1-1/8″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White card stock and that was then flagged at one end with the Banner Triple Punch. The names were then tucked under the edges of the sunflowers and adhered with Multipurpose Glue.

This design also makes a very nice card to send or give someone. It’s so versatile that you could stamp any sentiment on some Whisper White card stock and tuck it under an edge of the sunflower as I did 🙂 I’d love to hear YOUR ideas for this card!
