Honey Bee Card Stampin' Up! by Pretty Paper Cards

Today’s card is another CASE of the 2020 Mini Catalog. The samples in this catalog are so pretty, and I especially love the Honey Bee Bundle card on page 5. I loved it so much I decided to try to copy it exactly!

It’s a bit like a puzzle…trying to figure out how the amazing designers at Stampin’ Up! created these beautiful samples. I just love the honeycomb die and here it’s sitting on top of the stamped bee hive. I started with a Mint Macaron card base cut at 9″ x 4-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/2.” A 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ panel of Very Vanilla card stock was stamped with the honeycomb stamp in Crushed Currey ink, and set on the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next is another panel of Very Vanilla card stock cut at 4″ x 4.” Run it through the Big Shot with the bee hive die in the center. Then die cut two honeycomb pieces, also from Very Vanilla card stock. Overlap the pieces and glue together where they overlap. Then adhere them to the 4″ x 4″ panel, also with Multipurpose Glue, and adhere this panel over the bee hive panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp two flowers in Mint Macaron ink, color with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend, and cut with the die. Stamp the small bee with Soft Suede ink and color with the same Stampin’ Blend. Cut with the die. Adhere all three onto the front of the card using the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals

Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on a 1″ wide strip of Very Vanilla card stock. Punch out the edges using the Tailored Tag Punch. Attach a small piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim to the underside of the sentiment strip. Adhere the strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
